Busy Busy!

The last couple of weeks have flown by. It seems like BJ and I have been going 100 miles an hour. I will attempt to recap some of the details....

BJ had a work conference in Orlando, Fl. He flew out on Sunday and I met him out there the following Thurs and we spent the weekend together. It was a really nice get away! The weather was beautiful! I did some shopping, we layed out by the pool, and we hit up EPCOT on Sat.
This was the view outside our window of the hotel.

Thursday night we say David Gray live at the Hard Rock Live. He put on a really great show! We love going to live shows!

This Friday we held a going away party at our house for our friends Chris and Tiffani Morris. Chris finished medical school and they will be moving to NC for his residency. We will miss them, but are so excited for their new adventures. The wind was blowing dirt, what seemed like 100 miles an hour, and all 23 of us ended up inside but had a great time anyway! Sorry no pics!

I went and watched BJ's niece, Emily, at her gymnastics program on Sat morning! She did great, and makes quite the gymnast. I'll have to admit, it makes me miss the gym in Amarillo! This is her receiving her award! Too cute!

We decided to move the guest bedroom to the front of the house, which was the nursery for the previous owners. So I painted one night this week and BJ helped move all the furniture!

We spend Sat evening painting the nursery and Sun putting together furniture....here is the beginning of Brynn's new room. It looks a little boyish right now, but we plan on adding lots of pink and girly touches with decorations and bedding! More pics to follow!

I guess I am officially "nesting", I have this strong urge to organize and get everything done! Thank goodness for second trimester energy and a VERY helpful, patient husband!

20 weeks

Well, I am 20 weeks along and my belly seems to be growing quickly! I am feeling Brynn more and more. Thanks to my good friend, Melissa, for passing on some super cute maternity clothes. I had to do some re-arranging in my closet to make room for some clothes that actually fit!

My parents came to town this weekend for my cousin's wedding. My mom brought this precious outfit she made especially for Brynn! She will be all decked out at her first tailgate! They also brought with them 7 large tubs of clothing for Brynn from Melissa and Ava! I am pretty sure she could be set for the next two years! Now it is time for some organizing!
Mom and I also did some nursery shopping and got the crib, dresser, chair and bedding ordered! I am anxious to start painting.

It's a Girl!!

We had a 3D sonogram Monday morning and it's official, It's a Girl!! She was moving around like crazy, and a little stubborn with her legs crossed but eventually we got a good girl shot! I will spare you the picture! We couldn't be more excited. The whole experience was surreal and amazing. It was so neat to see all her little limbs, her brain, her heart and everything else! It makes everything so real. She looked great! We have decided on Brynn Nikole for her name. Now...let the nursery shopping begin.....
Brynn and her future best friend, Gracelyn! Gracelyn is expected the beginning of May. We can't wait for them to meet!

Our baby bump, 16 weeks!

We celebrated BJ's grandad's 85th birthday last weekend! He is doing great. It is so nice to have him living right around the corner. We get to visit often.

The little things....

So at about 4am this morning, I was laying in bed dreading yet another trip to the restroom when I felt some sort of movement around my abdomen. It felt like a butterfly moving quickly, or should I say fluttering!?! I moved the pillow to make sure my shirt or the pillow wasn't tickling my belly and it continued again. My conclusion: it was little baby Hart fluttering around in my belly!! I was so excited I couldn't go back to sleep!

I had a dr. appt. today. It is so exciting to see the baby. The doctor says everything looks great! We are blessed! I have been feeling so much better the past couple of weeks. I am thankful for the second trimester! We will officially find out the sex on April 5th at our 3d sono. Today....the doctor says, "he puts his money on a GIRL." We will wait to start painting or buying clothes!! Either way....so exciting!

I will post baby bump pics next friday (16 wks), as my pooch, is starting to look more like a baby bump!

Many Blessings!!

It has definitely been way too long since I have blogged. I intend on being better in 2010!

I will begin by saying that BJ and I have had many blessings to be thankful for especially this past few months.

  • Our most exciting news came right before Christmas....We are expecting! We were elated! This Thursday, we had our first Dr.'s appointment. We caught a good glimpse of little Baby Hart and heard it's strong heartbeat. It is crazy to imagine this little "being" growing inside of me! It was an exciting moment! We were also excited that we could now share this news with all our friends and family! I am 10wks along. My due date is August 27th, just a day after our 4th anniversary! What a great anniversary present. I'll start posting baby bump pics when my baby bump begins to grow!

  • I finished my clinicals on December 13th and soon after accepted a new job. I studied for almost a full month before taking the national board exam that I needed to pass to become licenced as an Occupational Therapist. I took the test Sat. Jan 23rd with NO IDEA how I had done. I started working on a temporary license last Monday at The Transitional Learning Center here in Lubbock. This is a rehab facility for individuals (adults) with an acquired brain injury. I have loved this setting and facility since I did an internship there about a year ago. This is where I wanted to work and God blessed me with that opportunity. So, the Test..... today I received report that I PASSED!! What a relief!

  • On December 29th, my sister, Nisha married Evan Arnold! We are so excited to have Evan as part of the family. My sister looked absolutely beautiful and it is so obvious that they are a perfect match! I am so happy for them! My mom, of course did an amazing job with the wedding plans. Everything turned out Great.
  • While my family was here for Nisha's wedding, we celebrated my Granma's 90th birthday! She flew down from Wisconsin and was quite the trooper.

This is such an exciting time in our lives right now! We are overwhelmed with Amazing family and friends.....Here's to a Great 2010!
